Ischemic osteonecrosis
These inflammations of the jaw can have far-reaching negative effects on your entire organism and can also cause the complete destruction of the bone. NICOs often occur after tooth extractions – such as wisdom teeth – or after injuries/traumas (such as radiation due to chemotherapy during cancer treatment).

These osteonecroses can also be referred to as interference fields. Inflammations in this form, also known as NICO (“Neuralgia Inducing Cavitational Oseonecrosis” or jaw osteitis), can progress to complete destruction of the jaw if not treated. As these inflammations can also occur without a specific cause, it is advisable to carry out a 3D diagnosis. This is particularly the case if chronic illnesses, fatigue or other imbalances have developed in the body. The teeth and jaw very often play a role in illnesses due to the interaction and long-distance effect mechanisms. A clarification can help you to verify this cause. If there are problems here, they can be rectified relatively quickly and provide you with positive support in your healing efforts. If not treated, interference fields can lead to serious psychological and physical complaints and problems. This can be seen in pain in the musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, depression and much more. To name just a few possible clinical pictures that are scientifically associated with interference fields.
If NICOs have been diagnosed in your jaw, consistent treatment is effective for recovery. This is done in a few steps as follows:
STEP 1. Diagnosis and detailed findings incl. documentation
STEP 2. If the findings are positive, extraction of the necrotic bone area is usually recommended and carried out in this case. This is always closely accompanied by pre- and post-treatment with the aim of stabilizing and building up your immune system, which is usually weakened as a result.
STEP 3. Control as part of the recall system
If your jaw is affected by inflammation or you suspect this, the first step is to clarify the situation using detailed diagnostics and 3D X-rays. If the findings are positive, we recommend the consistent removal of the inflamed area in order to free your organism from the interference field and allow the immune system and the affected tooth/jaw area to regenerate. Strengthening and support through orthomolecular supplementation, for example, has been shown to be helpful in stabilizing and building up the immune system.
