WHAT IS PRF?
Advanced PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin = fibrin clot) is an umbrella term for a treatment method developed by Prof. Choukron and successfully used by Dr. Robert Bauder and his team for the benefit of their patients. It is based on the fundamental knowledge that the positive effect of white blood cells in inflammation and healing processes is highly and entirely biological.
WHEN DOES THIS METHOD MAKE SENSE FOR ME?
In our dental practice, it has been possible for several years to accelerate and sustainably improve regenerative processes using the patient’s own growth factors and stem cells. Indications that make treatment appropriate include sinus lift, bone augmentation, periodontology, implants and healing after extractions. With the PRF method, patients can be treated affordably and effectively.
How does treatment work?
The patient’s own growth factors and stem cells are processed from the patient’s blood using a centrifuge and the fibrin structures (“blood fibrin networks”) that form are used for further treatment. These inserted membranes (“nets”) in turn gradually release growth-promoting factors and cytokines at the inserted site. The intended effect of these growth factors is to accelerate the soft tissue and bone healing processes. Entirely biological and therefore natural. The effect has been scientifically and practically tested and is used worldwide in high-tech dentistry.
